Blinn College officials say enrollment numbers are strong for this fall’s first semester of academic programs at their new location on the RELLIS campus.
Spokesman Richard Bray says 1,000 students are now enrolled for their academic programs at RELLIS.
Those classes will be held at the 83,000-square-foot Walter C. Schwartz building, which includes 19 classrooms and eight laboratories.
At this month’s Blinn board of trustees meeting, approval was given to lease space at an A&M system building on the RELLIS campus, which Bray says will allow nighttime workforce training classes.
The system’s “Building 7901” at the RELLIS Campus for skilled trades training programs in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, facilities maintenance technician, and the classroom portion of the commercial driver’s license truck driver training.
