WACO, Texas (AP) – Baylor is the third Big 12 team forced to postpone its scheduled season opener because of the coronavirus. Louisiana Tech was supposed to play in Waco, Texas, on Saturday, but the school says it can’t play because of multiple positive COVID-19 tests. Tech officials say the positive tests and contact tracing affecting other players make it impossible to play the game. The school said it had only one positive test in a three-week span before the outbreak that comes less than two weeks after its campus was affected by Hurricane Laura. TCU and Oklahoma State also postponed this weekend. Seven Big 12 teams are still scheduled to play.

Car Hits Light Pole and Pedestrian Before Crashing Into Building In Downtown Bryan
Two people were injured after a single car crash in Downtown Bryan. Bryan Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the intersection of William Joel Bryan and Main Street around 5:15pm on Wednesday. A car lost control, and struck a light pole then a pedestrian before coming to rest against the building that houses the law offices of Daniel Stark. According to officials with the Bryan Fire Department, the driver suffered major injuries and is hospitalized. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Bryan Shooting Victim Dies; Suspect Identity Released
The manhunt is on after a man was shot and killed in Bryan Tuesday night. 23-year-old Jaylon Lamar Walter was shot in the torso after a verbal altercation outside the North Point Business Park around 7:15pm. He was Life Flighted to Houston where he later died. Bryan Police are now searching for 20-year-old Cameron Deshawn Scott. A warrant has been issued for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. If you have information on Scott’s whereabouts, contact BPD at 979-209-5300. Scott has been booked into the Brazos County Jail on six previous occasions and has several outstanding warrants, including Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, Tampering with Identification, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
