Houston dropped its magic number to 60 as Josh Reddick and Marwin Gonzalez drove in three runs apiece to lead the Astros past the Braves, 10-4. The Astros blew a 4-0 lead before George Springer singled home the lead run in the seventh inning of their 12th win in 15 games. Houston’s lead in the AL West remains a whopping 16 games over the Angels.
The Yankees still trail the AL East by four games after the first-place Red Sox absorbed a 8-2 beating by Texas. Rougned Odor and Carlos Gomez homered off Doug Fister, who was tagged for four earned runs over 3 2/3s. Xander Bogaerts smacked a two-run shot for the Red Sox.
