Arrests On Weapons-Related Charges

A College Station woman was arrested this week on a charge of breaking her cousin’s arm last October with a three foot long closet coat hanger rod. 18 year old Tatiayana Peyton told College Station police, according to the arrest report, she was defending herself during a family argument. The victim had to have surgery to install a metal plate in her arm.

Brazos County sheriff’s deputies say one of four suspects have been arrested from an armed robbery at home northeast of Bryan that took place Tuesday evening. According to the arrest report, 20 year old Timothy Bridgewater is accused of striking one of two victims with an AK-47 rifle and cutting his face with a bayonet that was attached to the rifle. A second suspect is accused of firing a sawed off shotgun into the yard outside the home, located on FM 2223. The victim said Bridgewater took $2,000 dollars in cash, a cell phone, and his car keys.

A Bryan man remains in jail following his arrest last weekend after firing two or three shots from his handgun inside a nightclub at South College and Coulter. According to the Bryan police arrest report, 30 year old Edwin Flores-Cabrera also told officer he may have drank 20 beers before firing his gun and driving away. Cabrera was arrested for unlawful carrying and discharging the gun, DWI, and he is being held for immigration officials.
