Arrests For Taking A Delivery Driver’s Backpack & Driving With 22 Suspensions

The driver of a semi delivering soft drinks to a Bryan convenience store Tuesday morning lost a load of personal property that was in the cab of his truck. But the backpack was found and two Bryan men were arrested in what police consider to be a high crime area. According to the arrest report, 31 year old Brandon Mondine and 41 year old Victor Jackson were found in a vacant building next to the Time Mart at Finfeather and Peppertree. The backpack contained…among other things…the delivery driver’s vehicle and apartment keys, four checks made out to the soft drink company, and the driver’s cell phone. According to online records, it’s the fourth time Modine has been in jail in the last six months and 14th time in 14 years…and the 12th time Jackson has been in jail in the last 17 years.

A Bryan police officer pulling over a car with outdated registration learned the driver had 22 active suspensions on his license. That led to the arrest of 38 year old Eusebio Reyes of Bryan for driving with an invalid license with one prior conviction. According to the arrest report, the latest suspension was issued three weeks ago. Reyes is out of jail after posting a $2,000 dollar bond.
