Arrests After School Lockdowns And Two Crashes In Bryan

Bryan police determined a lockdown last Friday morning at Rudder High School and Harvey Mitchell Elementary was due to a 17 year old making a false report. According to the arrest report, Christen Green told officers he called the high school and said someone with a gun was walking in front of Rudder.

Bryan police made two arrests following separate crashes on Sunday. One was before sunrise, where three mailboxes and a water meter were hit on Tabor Road north of Highway 21. A witness assisted officers in finding a suspect walking on Old Hearne Road. That led to the arrest of 26 year old Jordan Alvarado of Bryan for his second DWI. According to the arrest report, Alvarado says he let someone named Juan drive his vehicle because he had too much to drink, then after the crash Juan tossed him the keys and took off.

Sunday afternoon, police went to the area of Tatum and Graham Streets…between 28th and Highway 21…where two parked cars and a pickup were struck. A witness told police the suspect’s car landed in a ditch, the driver got out and gave the witness her keys, then she ran into her house. 32 year old Jeannette Carrion-Ramos was arrested for leaving the scene, not having insurance, and not having a drivers license.
