A Bryan man stopped by a Brazos County sheriff’s deputy for speeding Saturday night is also in jail on charges related to a road rage incident in College Station six weeks ago. College Station police report 18 year old Lonnie Moore is accused of firing shots at the victims vehicle. One shot hit the rear hatch. The October 29th incident followed an argument in the parking lot of the H-E-B store at Texas and Holleman. Moore was stopped Saturday night for going 74 in a 60 mile an hour zone on FM 2818 near Sandy Point Road. According to the sheriff’s office arrest report, Moore had an invalid license and was driving with six active suspensions. Deputies found in Moore’s car, six baggies with marijuana, three cell phones, and a large amount of cash…of which the exact amount was not disclosed. According to online jail records, it is Moore’s sixth arrest in the last 12 months.
A motorcyclist from Colorado was caught on radar by a DPS trooper Sunday going 142 miles per hour west of College Station. According to the arrest report, the pursuit started in Burleson County, and continued on FM 60 through Northgate before slow traffic allowed the trooper to get in front of the motorcycle and force him to stop near Lincoln and Tarrow. The trooper reported the motorcycle was almost hit several times and ran several red lights along the way. 23 year old Braxton Brower of Colorado Springs was arrested for reckless driving and evading arrest.
Bryan police spotting a bicyclist riding without a headlight at 2:30 Sunday morning led to a pursuit that involved five patrol officers, two detectives, and a K-9 unit. 29 year old John Michael Bell of Plantersville was found laying down in a pickup bed on Sulphur Springs Road between Cavitt and South College. Bell was arrested for possessing a passport, a drivers license, and four credit cards that were reported stolen from two vehicle burglaries in College Station.
College Station police executing a search warrant last week at a Bryan apartment resulted in the seizure of $4,500 dollars of marijuana and $900 dollars in cash. That led to the arrest of the occupant of a Reveille Ranch apartment on Wellborn Road, 19 year old Solomon Estelle. According to the arrest report, Estelle told investigators he regularly went to Houston to get his supply of marijuana to sell in the twin cities.
Bryan police executing a search warrant on a home last week west of the freeway and south of MLK led to seizing almost $1,400 dollars in cash and more than $800 dollars in drugs, mostly marijuana. That led to the arrest of one of the occupants living on Silver Maple Drive, 29 year old Lindsey Smith III.
