A Bryan police officer driving by a convenience store at two in the morning on Tuesday saw a car move between several gas pumps and a passenger in the car getting out. After the car left the store and did a U-turn, the officer stopped the car as a suspicious vehicle. In all, four officers arrived to find two debit/credit card skimmer wires and nine gift cards. The driver, 35 year old Eduardo Hernandez of Houston, is out of jail on bond following his arrest on charges of possessing a criminal instrument. The passenger was not arrested. The arrest report did not state if skimming devices were found on any of the gas pumps.
A College Station woman accused of shoplifting from the Kohl’s store Tuesday night says her son placed more than $500 dollars of merchandise underneath a backpack in the bottom of a stroller. According to the College Station police arrest report, Kohl’s store loss prevention manager watched 31 year old Mariesol Arellano place 13 items of men’s clothing and a children’s toy in the stroller. Arellano, who is awaiting a trial on charges from last June on misdemeanor charges of theft and possessing a dangerous drug, is out of jail after posting bond on the new theft charge.
