A Bryan man out of prison after serving less than seven years from a 30 year sentence for trying to steal a bank drive thru ATM returns to the Brazos County jail for the 18th time. An arrest report from a Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden charged 41 year old Christopher Tarver with DWI with children under the age of 15 in his car. That follows a traffic stop after Tarver was doing burnouts the night of July 4th in a parking lot at Lake Bryan. The arrest report says family members took custody of two young children who were in the car. Jail records also show Tarver is being held for violating parole.
In November 2024, a College Station woman admitted to illegal use of credit and debit cards of an elderly couple while she was their in-home caregiver. 27 year old Jada Harvey, who was placed on seven years probation, returned to the Brazos County jail last week (July 1) on charges of stealing $2,075 dollars of clothing from the College Station Kohl’s store. The arrest report from College Station police says in October 2024, Harvey and a second person took 17 sweatpants and 14 hoodies. The arrest report also says Harvey regularly posted merchandise for sale on her Facebook page. As of July 7, Harvey remains jailed in lieu of a $10,000 dollar bond on the theft charge. She was also arrested on five warrants, including one from her conviction for credit and debit card abuse where she owes $2,047 dollars. Jail records show the four other warrants, for traffic offenses in 2021 and 2022, are for unpaid fines and costs totaling $1,674 dollars. Jail records do not show the second person accused of the Kohl’s theft has been arrested as of July 7.
