A Christmas Day domestic disturbance in College Station led to a College Station man’s arrest last week on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. 24 year old Tevin Burrell is accused of pointing a handgun at the mother of their two year old child while all three were in Burrell’s pickup truck. According to the College Station police arrest report, Burrell told the detective he was waving his gun around because he uses his hands a lot when he talks. No shots were fired. Burrell, who was booked in the Brazos County jail February 2, was released February 5 after posting a $10,000 dollar bond.

A Bryan man arrested six weeks ago but who has not been indicted for possessing nine baggies of ecstasy returns to jail following an arrest on a charge of entering a Bryan home last Christmas Eve and taking $1,000 dollars and several presents. According to the Bryan police arrest report, the victim identified 18 year old Jose Cardoza Jr. as one of four people who were caught on surveillance video. Cardoza is jailed in lieu of a $50,000 dollar bond on the burglary of a habitation charge. He is also being held on a warrant from Bexar County charging him with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
