Bryan police make an arrest Sunday (July 27) in a vehicle burglary that took place June 28 after someone shattered the back window of a SUV that was parked outside the Oakmont neighborhood clubhouse and pool. The BPD arrest report says the detective learned where stolen credit and debit cards were used. Video from a local store identified the suspect and his vehicle. That led to the arrest of a 26 year old Houston man who was out on bond from the Brazos County jail from an arrest in May on a charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. The new charges includes vehicle burglary and using one of the stolen cards to purchase nine gift cards totaling more than $900 dollars. The arrest report does not say if there was a recovery of a handbag valued at $1,300 dollars, an $800 dollar iPhone, and $185 dollars in other property. As of July 29, Javari Kirklin remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $58,000 dollars.
