In one corner of the freeway exit at William Joel Bryan Parkway in Bryan, sits road materials belonging to the Texas department of transportation. Last Sunday afternoon (May 4), a Brazos County sheriff’s deputy was sent there after a passerby noticed someone on a tractor appearing to prepare to remove materials. The sheriff’s arrest report says a man was attempting to load large white rocks into a trailer. The man told the deputy he thought the rocks were abandoned. That led to the arrest of 34 year old Sheldon Renchie of Navasota for stealing what TxDOT reported was $40 dollars of rocks. Renchie, who was booked in the Brazos County jail for the 20th time since April of 2018, was released after posting a $5,000 dollar bond following his arrest for theft with two prior convictions.
During last Friday afternoon’s severe thunderstorm, Bryan police responded to a crash at Texas and Highway 21 where a SUV rear ended a pickup truck. A BPD arrest report says an officer, a firefighter, and the driver of the pickup noticed the odor of alcohol around the driver of the SUV. That contributed to the arrest of 68 year old Silvestre Godinez of Bryan for DWI with three prior convictions. The arrest report also said Godinez was driving with a license that expired 15 years ago. Godinez is out of jail after posting a $15,000 dollar bond.
A Bryan police officer stopping a car Saturday at three in the morning because insurance could not be confirmed arrests the driver for driving with an invalid license with a prior conviction. The BPD arrest report shows the driving record of 28 year old Bianca Terrell of Bryan has 14 suspensions and 23 convictions dating back seven years. Terrell is out of jail after posting a $2,000 dollar bond.
The Brazos County sheriff’s office and DPS team up to arrest four men on charges of soliciting prostitution. The arrests took place during last Friday’s severe thunderstorm (May 2) inside a College Station hotel on University Drive. All four were released from jail after each posted a $5,000 dollar bond. They are 43 year old Lonnie Lowry of Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania and three from College Station, 35 year old Christopher Neef, 27 year old Victor Davaloz, and 38 year old MD Islam.
