A Navasota man in the Brazos County jail for five months for a parole violation and awaiting four district court criminal trials is now accused of taking 50 items of identifying information from 31 victims. An arrest report released this week by College Station police says 24 year old Logan Young had documents with the names and dates of birth of four people, 12 government issued documents such as social security cards and drivers licenses, and the numbers of 34 bank accounts. The documents and notebooks containing account information were found during a search of a car that was stopped following a chase in February that began in College Station and ended in Navasota.
For the second time in less than three weeks, College Station police respond to a report of domestic violence involving the same couple. On June 22nd, 22 year old Teleah Biggs was arrested for assaulting 27 year old Joe Williams. Officers returned this past Tuesday (July 8) for another disturbance where Williams was charged with assaulting Biggs. And Biggs went back to jail on a charge of violating a protection order that was issued from the first assault and for misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Online records show as of July 10th, Williams remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $7,000 dollars while Biggs was released after posting a $4,000 dollar bond. Court records show Williams is awaiting trial on a DWI charge from November of 2024 and a charge of violating probation from a drug possession conviction that took place in 2020.
A Bryan police officer returning to an apartment complex the day after a fire finds someone living in what was supposed to be a vacant unit. The man in the apartment, located above the fire damaged unit, said he was cleaning out the apartment. The day after his 45th birthday, Fredrick Joshua of Calvert was arrested for criminal trespassing and being a felon in possession of a body armor vest that is rated to stop bullets from a nine millimeter gun. As for the fire call to the Canyon Village apartments on Finfeather Road, a Bryan fire spokesman said that unit sustained smoke damage. No occupants were inside and no was injured. The cause remains under investigation. As of July 10, Joshua remains jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $11,000 dollars.
