A College Station man awaiting two criminal trials in Brazos County district court returns to jail on a new charge of providing false information on an application to buy a gun from a local pawn store. The College Station police arrest report says 25 year old Noah Ayala is accused of checking “NO” on the application form that he was not under indictment for a felony or any other crime where he could face more than one year in prison, checking “NO” if he was a fugitive, and checking “NO” if he was an unlawful user or addicted to marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance. Online court records show Ayala has been indicted and is awaiting trials for possessing cocaine in October 2022 and October of 2023. Ayala, who was also arrested on a warrant from Taylor County on a charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon, remains held as of October 30 on bonds totaling $21,000 dollars.
A Bryan police officer stopping a car Monday night (October 27) for a brake light that was not working arrested the driver for resisting and interfering with public duties. The BPD arrest report says it took three officers to remove the driver from her car that was stopped near Sue Haswell Park. The effort included cutting the driver’s seat belt and lifting the 190 pound woman to a standing position to be taken to a patrol vehicle. Online records show it is the 12th time in eight years that 28 year old Janae McKinney has been booked in the Brazos County jail. McKinney, who was also charged with not having a drivers license, was released after posting bonds totaling $6,000 dollars.
