One of three College Station police officers on a traffic stop the night of July 4th is kicked in the groin by the driver. That led to the driver’s arrest for assaulting the officer, resisting arrest, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. CSPD arrest reports also say the officers had to deal with a group of people who attempted to interfere with the arrest, which took place in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The arrest reports say the SUV, which was stopped for a broken taillight and not having a front license plate, was occupied by an infant partially in the lap of the 21 year old driver, two more children in the back seat, and two adults. The arrest reports did not say who took custody of the three children. 21 year old Kaleah Ross is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $21,000 dollars.
An inmate at the Brazos County jail has new charges of kicking the chest of a jail supervisor hard enough to lose her breath and yanking the hair of a deputy hard enough to cause pain. Arrest reports from the sheriff’s office say this happened as the inmate was resisting being moved to another cell after pulling a fire alarm from the wall. The assault charges against 31 year old Paris Williams of Bryan came after she was booked for resisting arrest from a Bryan police officer and a warrant charging her with driving without insurance. Williams remains held as of July 7 in lieu of bonds totaling $34,000 dollars on the new criminal charges and $623 dollars from the warrant.
