A 22 year old College Station woman started the new year in jail following her arrest for a drunk driving crash in March of last year that seriously injured one of the passengers in her car.

The arrest report from Bryan police says the blood alcohol level of Eleana Hernandez was more than twice the legal limit at .170.

A 22 year old man riding in the back seat of Hernandez’s small car, which rear ended a Ford F-350 pickup, received hospital treatment for fractures in his spine and face and an eye injury.

Also taken to the hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries were Hernandez, a third person in her car, and the driver of the pickup.

Hernandez was released from the jail the day after her January 2nd arrest after posting a $35,000 dollar bond on a charge of intoxication assault causing serious bodily injury.
