Arrest in Week-Old Bryan Shooting

An argument while installing a car amplifier led to shots being fired in Bryan last week. The one accused of shooting a local man has turned himself in.

22 year old Tronkeith Ealoms is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Last Thursday, police responded to the 1700 block of Virginia where 31 year old Edward Figgers was found shortly after being shot twice in the mid-section with a .45 caliber handgun. The wounds were not life-threatening according to police.

According to court documents, Figgers told officers he and his girlfriend were in an argument when Ealoms appeared, then the girlfriend left and the argument continued between the two men, leading to the gunfire.

Ealoms is jailed in lieu of a $15,000 dollar bond.
