Another Bicyclist Killed in Bryan

For the second time in less than two weeks a bicyclist has been struck and killed in Bryan.

Police responded Tuesday morning to Harvey Mitchell Parkway just south of Villa Maria.

Lt. Sharean Gideon says the bicyclist, a 55 year old man, was crossing Harvey Mitchell when he were struck by a southbound car.  The driver, identified only as a 17 year old, stopped to provide aid.

The name of the deceased has not been released because family has not been notified.

Motorists who drive Harvey Mitchell Parkway south of Villa Maria should watch out for police investigators who will return to the scene Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m..
