Brazos Valley Bank customers will notice some big changes, not the least of which is the name of the bank where they do business.
American Momentum Bank announced Saturday it had completed the acquisition of Brazos Valley Bank, adding some $111 million in assets to the American Momentum portfolio.
Both Brazos Valley Bank locations, including its main branch on Texas 6 in College Station, are now doing business as American Momentum. A full transition for the branches and customers is expected during the summer.
American Momentum is based in Florida, but is a venture of Bryan businessman Don Adam. Adam began American Momentum in Florida because of a non-compete requirement after he sold the former First American Bank to Citibank.
