A&M Summer School Schedule Still Under Study

What does fewer employees at Texas A&M University mean for summer classes this year and in the future?

It was one of the few questions asked of President Bowen Loftin at this week’s Chamber of Commerce Economic Outlook Conference.

Dr. Loftin says it’s a topic now being addressed with the university’s 10 college deans.  The president says it’s a case of balancing what’s attractive to students with faculty interests.

Dr. Loftin says while employment fell 1,000 from last year…to a total of 22,400…total payroll increased by $25 million to $861 million dollars.

Question posed to Dr. Bowen Loftin and his response.
