More changes are coming to the landscape of Texas A&M University. The Board of Regents last week approved a $4 million dollar extension and renovation of Ross Street.
Vergel Gay at the System office says the project includes relocating the Fish Pond centerpiece, building a new Fish Pond Plaza, and extending Military Walk across Ross to to the steps of Sbisa Hall.
Gay adds Ross Street will be repaved and every effort will be made to preserve existing trees. Street lighting will be replaced, and electronic traffic gates will be installed that will restrict daytime access to buses and emergency, delivery, and service vehicles.
