A&M Outsourcing Update from the Chancellor

The days of spending $10,000 to run a computer line or $600 to hang a door at Texas A&M University should be coming to an end.

Chancellor John Sharp, addressing the Faculty Senate this week, introduced the system employee in charge of outsourcing by having him share the number to his personal cell phone.

Sharp says the company that received the outsourcing contract that is saving $260 million dollars in College Station is in line to work at 11 other campuses to generate an additional $92 million in savings for the system.

John Sharp comments about outsourcing to the A&M Faculty Senate, January 14 2013.
