A Centerville man has been arrested by the Attorney General’s office for possessing child pornography.

According to a news release, officers of the Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the home of 49 year old Dave Wagley III and seized multiple digital devices. One of the items, a flash drive, contained videos of children being sexually assaulted.

Wagley is also accused of illegally uploading images of child pornography to an Internet web server.

A referral from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the state investigation.

The Attorney General’s office reports Wagley is a registered sex offender who was convicted in 1999 in New York for distributing child pornography.

Wagley, who is held in the Leon County Jail, faces four third-degree felony counts of child pornography possession. Each count is punishable by two to 10 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
