Ags have to rally past SFA, 62-53

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) – B.J. Holmes scored 15 points, and Texas A&M overcame a second-half deficit to defeat Stephen F. Austin 62-53 on Thursday night.

The Aggies (6-1) trailed 36-31 seven minutes into the second half before rallying. Holmes’ 3-pointer gave them a 50-43 lead with 6:54 remaining.

Jordan Glynn led the Lumberjacks (4-2) with 20 points and eight rebounds.

David Loubeau had nine rebounds for Texas A&M.

The Aggies committed 16 turnovers that Stephen F. Austin converted into 19 points. A&M will host Pacific tomorrow night
