Aggies Honored at Board of Regents Meeting

In the middle of Thursday’s business, the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents paused to pass resolutions honoring two well known people on the flagship campus.

Regent Gene Stallings introduced one of the recipients, fellow Aggie football coach Emory Bellard.

Also honored with a resolution and the first ever title of Assistant Dean Emerti, was Mary Ruth Patranella. She was introduced by President Bowen Loftin.

Patranella, who began her career in 1939, served every Dean in A&M’s College of Agriculture and took a ten year break to start her family.
