Aggie women take Liberty

The Aggie women’s basketball team got a bit of a warm-up last night before heading to warm Cancun for Thanksgiving. The 8th ranked Aggies whipped Liberty 81-49 at Reed Arena, running their record to 3-0 to take to Mexico where they’ll play Arizona on Friday and Michigan on Saturday.

Danielle Adams led A&M with 20 points while the Aggie defense forced 32 Liberty turnovers, 21 in the first half alone. Tyra White had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Sidney Colson played 4 minutes in her first action of the season, coming off a foot injury. She had two steals and took one for a lay-up.

The Aggies stayed ranked 8th in the AP poll released yesterday. UConn, Baylor, Stanford, Tennessee, Xavier, Duke and Ohio State are ahead of them. The Aggies will play Duke on Dec. 6th at the Jimmy V Women’s Classic in Durham.
