Aggie soccer headed north for NCAAs

After winning the Big 12 title and being ranked 10th in the Nation, the Texas A&M Soccer team thought they deserved to host an NCAA Regional Tournament, but the selection committee had other ideas and now the Aggies must travel to Minnesota to face North Dakota State in the first round at Minneapolis on Friday afternoon. The winner will meet either Creighton or host Minnesota in the second round on Saturday.

This is the 16th straight year the Aggies have been to the NCAA soccer tournament but were hoping that for a 15th time they would host for the 15th time.

The Aggies are 15-4-2 after winning the outright Big 12 regular-season title before losing to Oklahoma Friday in the Big 12 Tournament semi-finals. Tournament champ Oklahoma State did earn a host spot. Oklahoma and Texas are also in the tournament.
