The Texas A&M soccer team continues its season-opening, four-game home stretch as the Aggies host the No. 19 TCU Horned Frogs for Thursday’s 7 p.m. contest at Ellis Field.

Texas A&M looks to continue its winning ways after last Thursday’s 2-1 win at home against Air Force. The forward duo of Finley Lacher and Ireland Churchill both scored and were vital in the victory. Churchill has logged four goals and provided two assists in her last three games, only second on the team in points tally to Trinity Buchanan. She is the first Texas A&M freshman to register 10 points in a three-game span since Kelley Monogue in 2011.
The Aggies’ freshmen continue to play an essential role, particularly goalkeeper Makenna August, who was called into action seven times against Air Force. August rose to the occasion throughout the match, delivering a crucial performance to help secure the victory after recording her first shutout the match before in a 5-0 victory over Sam Houston.
Since the Maroon & White fired up the program in 1993, Texas A&M is 14-4-0 against the Horned Frogs. TCU’s four wins have come over a span from 2021-25, claiming each contest by one goal, including a 2-1 scoreline in 2021, 2022 and 2025. Last season the teams played on an even keel for nearly 80 minutes. The Horned Frogs pulled ahead late with an 86th-minute goal by AJ Hennessey.
With conference play quickly approaching, the Maroon & White will get an early taste of the intensity and quality they can expect down the stretch against a nationally ranked Horned Frogs’ side. TCU is 2-1-1, having already faced three Top 25 opponents. They earned wins No. 22 Wisconsin (2-1) and No. 17 Georgia (3-2). The Horned Frogs are coming off an NCAA semifinal appearance last season. Oliva Geller leads the squad, playing all 360 minutes in net.
