Aggie Men’s Golf Wheaton Ennis Finishes Third at Valspar Collegiate Invitational

The Texas A&M men’s golf team closed out play at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational with a sixth-place finish after a strong final round at Floridian National Golf Club.

The Aggies posted one of the top third-round scores of the tournament with a 13-under 271. The Maroon & White carded a three-day total of 25-under 827 on the par-71, 7,088-yard layout, climbing two spots on the leaderboard in Tuesday’s final round. Texas Tech claimed first at 45-under, followed by Auburn (-39).

Texas A&M was paced by an outstanding performance from Wheaton Ennis. The sophomore finished tied for third individually at 13-under 200. Ennis delivered a collegiate career-best round of 7-under 64 in the final round, highlighted by consistent scoring throughout. He sank eight birdies on the final loop.

Shiv Parmar and Aaron Pounds finished tied for 19th at 7-under 206. Parmar delivered three steady rounds, including a final-round 70, while Pounds surged on Tuesday with a 5-under 66. The duo combined for consistent scoring throughout the week, giving Texas A&M a reliable presence in the middle of the lineup and helping fuel the team’s climb up the leaderboard in the final round.

Jaime Montojo added a solid final round of even 71 to finish tied for 76th at 9-over 222, while Jack Usner rounded out the lineup in 62nd place at 3-over 216.
