Aggie Men’s Golf Finishes Third at Tar Heel Intercollegiate

News release from Texas A&M Athletics: 

The Texas A&M Aggies men’s golf team finished in third place at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, carding an 8-under 832 over three rounds at Finley Golf Club.

North Carolina captured the team title at 32-under 808, while Duke placed second at 12-under 828. The Aggies secured third place ahead of Nebraska 2-under 838 to round out the top of the leaderboard.

Jaime Montojo led the way for Texas A&M. He was tied for eighth at 4-under 206. Montojo closed strong with a 1-under 69 final round to secure his second top 10 in the last three tournaments.

Wheaton Ennis finished tied for 14th at 2-under 208. He opened the tournament with a 6-under round and remained a steady presence in the Aggies lineup throughout the week.

Shiv Parmar carded a 1-under 209 to tie for 17th, while Kris Kuvaas finished tied for 25th at 1-over 211, helping anchor the team score.

Aaron Pounds placed 49th at 6-over 216, while Alex Long finished 53rd at 7-over 217 as an individual.

The Aggies return to action April 22-26 when they travel to St. Simons Island, Georgia, for the SEC Championship at Sea Island Golf Club.
