Aggie Men’s Basketball Player Rashaun Agee Earns All-SEC Accolades

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

Texas A&M’s Rashaun Agee was named to the All-SEC Third Team, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

Agee has been dominant on both ends of the floor, leading the Maroon & White in scoring and rebounding throughout the year. He has paced the No. 8 scoring offense in the country, averaging 14.7 points per game on the season. His 8.8 rebounds and 6.2 defensive boards are good for second in the league, while his 274 total rebounds are also the second-most among SEC players and rank seventh on Texas A&M’s single-season list. In league play, Agee is averaging 16.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

The Chicago native recently tied the Aggies’ single-season record with his 12th double-double of the year after leading the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds in the triple overtime win at LSU. It marked the sixth time this year he has scored 20-plus points and the 15th time he has brought down double-digit rebounds. His 32 career double-doubles are tied for eighth among active Division I players.

Agee helped the Aggies finish fourth in the SEC and register their fifth-straight 20-win season. Texas A&M earned a first round bye in the SEC Tournament and will face the winner of the Oklahoma/South Carolina game in the final game of the day on Thursday, March 12.
