No. 23 Texas A&M concludes an eight-game homestand with a midweek contest against Lamar Tuesday at 6 p.m. from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network+ and may be heard locally on 1150 AM/93.7 FM The Zone. Fans may follow along through live stats, or on X, @AggieBaseball.
The midweek bout marks the 42nd meeting all-time between the two programs, with the Aggies (7-0) leading the series, 33-8, over the Cardinals (5-3). The Maroon & White have prevailed over Lamar 22 times at home and secured 10 wins on the road. Last season the Aggies bested the Cardinals, 13-6, at Blue Bell Park.
The Texas A&M pitching staff was outstanding in the series against Penn, allowing just one earned run and issuing no walks. In the series, the Maroon & White struck out 32 hitters and boasted a WHIP of 0.48. Shane Sdao and Aiden Sims both topped career highs in strikeouts with seven and ten, respectively.
The Aggies are paced offensively by Terrence Kiel II, who has hit safely in all seven games this season. The sophomore outfielder has registered eight runs, two doubles and two RBI across 25 plate appearances, owning a .440 batting average on the year.
Nico Partida mustered a solid weekend versus Penn, recording five hits across the series, including a two-run homer in the win on Sunday. The freshman is tied for the team lead in home runs with three.
