The No. 22 Texas A&M fell to No. 9 Oklahoma, 8-7, in a Friday night thriller from Kimrey Family Stadium.
The Aggies (15-2) spotted four runs in the first inning to get ahead early. Oklahoma (16-2) answered with two runs on a double and a pair of triples in the bottom half of the first to cut the lead to two.
In the top of the third, Bear Harrison drove an RBI double to put the Aggies up 5-2, but the Sooners responded with two more runs in the bottom half to make it a 5-4 game.
Wesley Jordan scratched two runs back for the Maroon & White in the top of the sixth to go up 7-4. Oklahoma answered right back in the bottom of the sixth with a pair of home runs to even the score at seven.
The Sooners delivered the final blow in the bottom of the eighth with a bases loaded sacrifice fly to go ahead, 8-7.
Chris Hacopian led the Aggie offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and two walks. The junior second baseman scored a run and drove in one RBI.
Shane Sdao worked 3.2 innings as the starter, suffering four earned runs on eight hits and a walk. Ethan Darden, Juan Vargas, Josh Stewart, Hunter Vincent and Clayton Freshcorn each made appearances in relief. Darden and Vincent each dealt scoreless outings in 1.0 and 1.1 innings pitched, respectively. Freshcorn (2-1) suffered his first loss of the season after allowing the go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth inning.
