No. 7 Texas A&M dropped a 9-2 decision to No. 21 Florida in the series opener Friday night from Condron Family Ballpark.
The Gators (29-14, 11-8) tallied the first run of the game on a two out single in the bottom of the first.
In the third inning, Grahovac drilled a two-run homer to left field to put the Aggies (31-8, 12-6) in front. The visitors responded in the bottom half of the inning with two runs on three doubles to reclaim the lead.
Florida scratched across a run in the sixth and seventh innings. The Gators added four runs of insurance to seal the final score at 9-2 in the visitor’s favor.
Shane Sdao worked 3.2 innings as the starter, allowing three runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. The Maroon & White used six arms out of the bullpen. Grant Cunningham was the most effective, allowing one run on two hits in 2.0 innings pitched, also racking a pair of strikeouts.
