News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

No. 7 Texas A&M registered 15 hits, including four long balls to even the series with No. 21 Florida by an 8-4 decision Saturday afternoon from Condron Family Ballpark.

Gavin Grahovac led the way offensively, notching the first four-hit performance of his career. Jorian Wilson added to the offensive attack, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.

The Gators (29-15, 11-9) reached the board first on a solo home run in the bottom of the second. Bear Harrison quickly matched the score with a solo shot to lead off the top of the third. Following a Grahovac walk, Chris Hacopian drilled a double off the wall in right-center field to give the Aggies (32-8, 13-6) the lead.

Nico Partida started the top of the fourth inning with a solo homer to right-center field to boost the advantage to 3-1. In the top of the fifth inning, Grahovac demolished a two-run homer 431 feet over the batter’s eye in center field to increase the Aggies’ edge to four runs.

Florida scratched a run back in the bottom of the fifth with a solo home run. The Maroon & White matched the score in the sixth on a hit-and-run RBI single by Wilson. In the bottom half of the sixth, the Gators made it a 6-3 game with a sacrifice fly.

Wilson provided the Aggies with a pair of insurance runs on a mammoth two-run shot to right-center field. The freshman’s 10th homer of the season traveled 445 feet out of the ballpark and left the bat at 110 miles-per-hour.

The Gators scratched a run across in the ninth inning, but the Maroon & White limited the damage to secure the 8-4 victory.

Aiden Sims (8-0) earned his fifth win in conference play, dealing 5.0 innings of two-run ball. The right-hander punched out seven batters, with six coming in the first two frames. Gavin Lyons and Ethan Darden followed in relief, combining for 1.2 innings and allowing one run on two hits with a pair of strikeouts. Clayton Freshcorn closed the game and earned his eighth save of the season. The righty tossed the final 2.1 innings and punched out three batters.
