
A jogger running along Rock Prairie Road near Baylor Scott & White hospital Wednesday (September 17) just after nine a.m. is struck by a vehicle driven by a man who was arrested for DWI with one prior conviction.
A College Station police spokesman says the runner was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released.
The CSPD arrest report says the SUV jumped the curb and drove away after the runner was struck.
The SUV was found about 20 minutes later at the home of the driver.
The driver told the officer after he got home, he drank a 25 ounce beer to calm his nerves after striking the runner.
After failing field sobriety tests, 38 year old Cassidy Keen of College Station was arrested.
The arrest report says Keen was convicted in March 2022 of DWI in Denton County.
Keen was released from the Brazos County jail after posting a $10,000 dollar personal bond.
