An investigation by Bryan police that began in September 2025 leads to the arrest of a Dallas man for scamming a 95 year old woman out of $44,000 dollars.

The BPD detective’s arrest report says the victim wrote two cashiers checks and mailed them to the suspect.

And the daughter also said that her mother for years, received online requests from the man who identified himself as “Harry O Blake” for money for a variety of reasons.

After the suspect deposited the checks, the bank closed the account after those checks were reported as fraud.

The detective who identified the suspect through the address the victim sent the cashier checks also learned that four banks shut down accounts owned by the suspect for being involved in scams.

51 year old Anthony Agbroko, who told detective he did not know about scams, was booked in the Brazos County jail March 2nd and as of March 9th was held in lieu of a $250,000 dollar bond.
