A Bryan manufacturer which entered an economic development agreement with the Bryan city council in December 2021 is given more time to complete its expansion.

The council, without discussion, unanimously approved the extension requested by American Lumber at its April 14th meeting.

The amended agreement says American Lumber has already exceeded other requirements of receiving a 50 percent rebate of the tax revenue generated from its manufacturing addition and three new storage buildings.

The minimum property value of the project, $8 million dollars, is currently valued at $14.9 million.

What was supposed to be 12 additional employees is currently 31.

And the average salary that was supposed to be $55,000 dollars is $82,000 per person.
