Brazos County District Court Criminal Pleas

A Bryan man told a Brazos County district court jury Tuesday he committed back to back armed robberies in April of last year. 28 year old Lance Lopez did not made a deal with prosecutors about the holdups, which took place in Bryan 20 minutes apart. His punishment will be up to the jury. Lopez first held up the Ready 2 Go convenience store on South College, then he pointed a gun at a clerk at Finfeather Grocery.

A second person involved in the holdup of a man three years ago who thought he was paying for a prostitute has admitted being the gunman. 29 year old Robert Sierra Jr. of Somerville, formerly of Bryan, was sentenced to 15 years. The woman playing the part of the prostitute, 39 year old Araceli Tello, was convicted by a jury last year and was sentenced to 35 years.

A Bryan man arrested in June of last year after jumping out of a window wearing no clothes has admitted to possessing $3,500 dollars of illegal drugs. 23 year old Bryson Robertson was sentenced to 20 years after he was caught with PCP, ecstasy, and marijuana.

A Bryan man admitted to repeatedly violating a protection order by stalking a woman, including once where he had a loaded nine millimeter pistol in his pocket with the safety off. 45 year old Willie Charles Griffin Jr. was sentenced to four years.

From August of last year, a Bryan woman admitted to walking into homes on Patton Avenue and Graham Street and taking purses. 44 year old Gayla Robertson was sentenced to ten years for the burglaries and tampering with evidence.
