College Station voters now have a contested race to decide in this November’s school board election. It’s for the school board position being vacated by Paul Dorsett. Filing Tuesday for the place one seat was Mike Nugent. Also seeking that spot is Phillip Garrett.
Bryan voters have two and possibly three contested races. One is the at large seat on the Bryan school board, where Mark McCall filed Tuesday against incumbent Tommy Bosquez, who is seeking reelection.
A second contested election involves the at-large position on the Bryan city council. And those living in Bryan council single member district five also have two candidates.
The filing deadline is a week from Monday, August 24.
