Local Traffic Stops Leads to Arrests

A Bryan policeman stopping a SUV driving at about two in the morning without a working rear license plate light led to the arrests of three people on a variety of drug charges. According to the arrest report, officers seized more than $4,200 dollars in cash, 12 ounces of marijuana, and a small amount of cocaine from the vehicle stopped at Kent and Esther…which is south of 29th and west of Villa Maria. The driver, 36 year old Ruben Carrillo Jr. of Austin and one of the two passengers, 28 year old Joshua Carrillo of Tyler, remains in jail. Out on bond is 24 year old Kelsey Bond of College Station.

A patrolman with Texas A&M police stopping a car about midnight without a working rear license plate light led to the the arrest of a Bryan man who will be in jail until at least August 12th. According to online jail records, 25 year old Miguel Ramos will be serving time for five prior local traffic convictions. According to the arrest report, Ramos has 16 prior suspensions and has been caught ten times for not having insurance among other infractions.

A SUV with an expired registration that was stopped by Bryan police led to the driver being arrested for evading arrest, and possession of crack cocaine, Xanax pills, and marijuana. According to the arrest report, the driving record of 23 year old Christopher Darius Scott of Bryan has 24 active suspensions, four convictions for not having insurance, and three convictions for driving with a suspended license.
