Local law enforcement is asking for the public’s assistance in finding suspects in three violent crimes.
Brazos County sheriff’s officers went to an armed robbery Sunday morning shortly before 5:30 at the Smetana Store west of Bryan off Highway 21. The suspect struck the clerk with his weapon before taking off with an undetermined amount of money. She was treated at the scene for injuries not believed to be life threatening. The victim was described as being a tall male of an unknown race wearing a green hoodie, white sunglasses, and black leather gloves. Bryan police were sent to the College Edge Apartments on Hollowhill west of Blinn College Saturday morning at 3:00 a.m. where a woman reported a man tried to attack her as she was getting into her vehicle. After the man wasn’t able to remove her clothing he ran off, and the victim was not hurt. The suspect was described as a young Hispanic man, heavy set, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans. College Station police received a report of a home burglary on Potomac that took place on Friday night, where the victim told officers the same known suspect sexually assaulted her on Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact CSPD at 979-764-3600.
