Second Murder Suspect and Third Assault Suspect Arrested

The second of three suspects in the shooting death of a Bryan man two months ago has been arrested. The victim, Detorrian Peterson, was killed in his home October 22nd. Held in the Brazos County jail without bond is 19 year old Jaquar Johnson. Court records indicate he pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor offenses last year and was awaiting trial on a charge of vehicle burglary following an arrest in College Station in September. Arrested earlier this month was 19 year old Terence Johnson, Jr. of College Station. Prosecutors say the two men are not related.

A Freestone County man sentenced to state prison in two assault cases is now in the Brazos County jail. 21 year old Levi Carroll-Jones is the third man from Teague accused of participating in an armed robbery at a College Station home last January. According to the arrest report, one of the two occupants, who went to high school with all three suspects, invited them over to buy marijuana. Instead, the roommates were held up at gunpoint. Marijuana was taken along with personal property. While Jones is in jail, 22 year old Devante Owens and 24 year old Ivan McWilliams are out on bond while waiting for their trials to be held.
