Texas A&M’s No. 5 women’s basketball team heads to the Pacific Northwest to take on Washington on Monday at 8 p.m. CT (6 p.m. PT) on Monday, December 29.
The game is broadcast on Pac-12 Network, which is channel 144 on Suddenlink in Bryan-College Station and 409 on Dish Network. Jim Watson and Elise Woodward bring viewers the action on Pac-12 Network. The game is also available to authenticated users online here or through the Pac-12 Network app.
Steve Miller and David Waxman bring listeners the action on KZNE 1150 AM in Bryan-College Station, and also online via 12thMan.com or the Radio Aggieland app.
The Aggies can clinch the best non-conference record in school history with wins in their last two non-league games against Washington and North Texas. A&M is 3-0 so far in true road games this season, defeating then-No. 18 DePaul, TCU and SMU earlier this season.
Washington is coached by Mike Neighbors, a former Director of Operations for Texas A&M Head Coach Gary Blair while the pair was at Arkansas. Neighbors’ Husky team features the nation’s leading scorer, Kelsey Plum (26.1 ppg), and will match up against A&M’s defense, who held her to just four points last season.
A&M’s defense leads the nation in defending field goals, holding opponents to a paltry 31.3% shooting. The Aggies defense ranks sixth nationally against defending 3-pointers and 27th overall defensively.
After this game, the Aggies return home to Reed Arena on Dec. 31 to host North Texas at 4 p.m. on SEC Network Plus. The first 500 fans at the game receive a 40 Years of Women’s Basketball flute glass to ring in the New Year.
