A Bryan man who was given probation from a burglary conviction four years ago is looking at serving a ten year sentence.

32 year old Asa Shavers Jr. is accused of violating probation and for committing an armed robbery at a Bryan convenience store two weeks ago.

Officer Kelley McKethan says Shavers was a customer at the Shell store at 29th and Barak, and the victim identified Shavers through a photo lineup.

According to court records, Shavers has violated probation from a residential burglary that took place in September 2010…for among other reasons…not making a payment towards $3,500 dollars in restitution.
