The 14 year old male passenger in the car has shown improvement and is reported in stable condition.
The 64 year old female driver of the car remains in critical condition.
Original story:
Two people were injured from a Saturday afternoon crash at Briarcrest and the freeway’s southbound frontage road.
Witnesses told officers an eastbound truck failed to yield the right of way and struck a southbound car.
The driver of the car, an adult woman, was transported in critical condition to St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
A passenger in the car, a juvenile male, was in critical condition when he was flown to Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
The crash was reported at 2:45 p.m. Officers were on the scene for almost four hours.
