Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and Brazos County Crime Stoppers are asking for help to identify a burglary suspect and for any information that might help to solve several daytime residential burglaries that have occurred in rural Brazos County.

During the month of July, 2013 there have been six home burglaries reported in rural southwest Brazos County. All are believed to have been committed by the same suspects, because of the similar Modus Operandi (MO); day & time, area of county, method of entry and types of articles stolen.

On Monday, July 8th a security camera at a home in the Indian Lakes Subdivision captured a photo of a suspect before he broke into the home.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a red hoodie, blue jean shorts with a white belt and white tennis shoes.

Sheriff’s Office Investigators advise that it is common for burglars to ring the doorbell or knock on the door to see if anyone is home before committing the burglary. If someone does answer the door the burglar will commonly make up a story about being lost or selling something.

Residents are encouraged to immediately report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement and to make sure serial numbers are recorded for all property and that jewelry is photographed.

Brazos County Crime Stoppers are asking for anyone may know the identity of the burglar shown or any knowledge of suspicious activity to call Brazos County Crime Stoppers at 775-TIPS. You do not give your name when you call Brazos County Crime Stoppers, you will be given a special coded number. The information you give will be shared with the appropriate law enforcement agency and if your information leads to an arrest or recovery in the case, you will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
