The Bryan man charged with Wednesday afternoon’s kidnapping is now additionally charged with aggravated robbery.
Bryan Police say that 28-year-old Zachary Drake has been charged with Wednesday morning’s robbery of Donald Donuts, as well as linked to a robbery at Antiqueables on South College in June.

A Bryan man is behind bars, charged with the kidnapping of a College Station man.
28-year old Zachary Drake was captured Wednesday evening after a chase through town ended with him abandoning a stolen vehicle on Linda Lane and running on foot.
Earlier Wednesday afternoon, a College Station man was kidnapped and set free. The victim says a man asked for a ride to the hospital, then placed something against his neck and demanded that they drive until reaching Navasota, at which point the victim, who was not harmed, was made to exit the vehicle. The man drove off in the victim’s vehicle.
Drake’s bond is set at $31,000, with charges for felony evading, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, and kidnapping.

Update: 9:30 PM 07/03/13
At approximately 7:00 [Friday] evening, officers located the suspect driving the victim’s car in the area of Southwest Parkway and Dartmouth. As officers attempted to stop the suspect, he fled in the vehicle through many streets and parking lots trying to elude officers. The pursuit moved to the area of Dominik Dr. where the suspect traveled eastbound on Dominik Dr. and ultimately drove through a fence at the end of this roadway. He then began to travel southbound on the Highway 6 feeder road and then east on Hwy 30, north on 158 and then south on Copperfield Dr. He continued southbound on Copperfield crossed Hwy 30 and travelled south down Linda Lane where he drove through heavy brush and ultimately abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers surrounded the very large rural area and with the assistance of Bryan Police Department’s K9 unit, Brazos County Sheriff’s Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety began to search the area.
At approximately 8:10, officers were able to locate the suspect. Officers conducted secondary searches of the area to ensure no other suspects were involved.

The man was a white male with a dark beard and hair in his late twenties and was last seen driving the victim’s car, a a light blue/silver 2007 Honda CRV with a Harvey Little League Sticker with the name Sidney on it and a a Texas Troopers Supporter sticker.

07/03/13 – News: Kidnapping #13-007189
On 07/03/13 at approximately 2:30 PM, a male victim came to the College Station Police Department to report that he had been kidnapped earlier in the day. The victim advised that he was approached by the suspect outside his home and was asked for a ride to the hospital. In route to the hospital the suspect placed an object against the victim’s neck and demanded that he continue to drive. The suspect demanded the victim to exit the vehicle when arriving to Navasota. The victim was not harmed during the incident.
The suspect was described as a white male, dark hair, dark beard, late twenties, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and approximately 150 pounds.
The vehicle is described as a light blue/silver 2007 Honda CRV. It has a Harvey Little League Sticker with the name Sidney on it as well as a Texas Troopers Supporter sticker displayed on the back of the vehicle.
The College Station Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is continuing this investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 979-764-3600.
