On 3/28/13, College Station Animal Control received a report of an animal bite that occurred on 3/26/13 around 2:00 pm at 300 Park Road, the University Dog Park. An adult male individual was bitten by a dog inside the park after the dog attempted to jump up and grab an item from the victim’s hand. The dog was accompanied by a black male approximately 18 years old who witnessed the incident. The dog is described as a very stocky Tan Pit Bull or Pit Bull mix. The victim also stated the dog has visited the park in the past and is typically accompanied by an adult black male and female.
On 3/24/13, College Station animal control received a report of a bite that occurred on 3/23/13 around 3:00pm. The victim, a white male, advised he was walking his leashed German short-haired pointer puppy at Brison Park (401 W Dexter). The victim was bit trying to prevent the other dog from possibly biting the puppy. The owner was described as a white male, wearing black basketball shorts and a white t-shirt, plus a baseball cap. The dog was described as a medium-sized mixed breed, primarily black in color, with brown on the feet and eyebrows. The dog was also described as smooth-coated and having floppy ears.
College Station Animal Control is asking for help from the public in locating the dog in the bite. The dog needs to be located and observed to rule out possible rabies exposure to the victim. If you have any information about this case, please call (979)764-3600.
