Wolf Pen Creek Park Festival Area Ribbon Cutting Wednesday

More than 20 years in its development, the final piece of Wolf Pen Creek Park in College Station will be officially opened Wednesday afternoon.

Parks and Recreation Director David Schmitz says the park’s festival area was recently completed behind the Arts Council building.

A ceremony to officially open the $900,000 dollar festival area will take place Wednesday afternoon at 4:30. Visitors are invited to use a new parking area off Colgate near Dartmouth by the Arts Council building.

WTAW’s Bill Oliver visits with David Schmitz.
